Filters are mechanical and screw onto the lens. The filter cap is now magnetic and is included in the package. You can choose a filter with a larger diameter and use a StepUp ring to screw it onto all your lenses. This way, you only need one filter and don't have to buy an additional one for each lens.
Other filters such as ND and Polarizing filters from Freewell are fully magnetic and simply attach to the StepUp ring without screwing. Freewell also offers a fully magnetic system for VND filters.
